Lidding A substance used for the closure of bowls, plastic containers, and aluminium containers is called lidding . Usually, to seal the packets that contain soup or stock, a thin layer of lamination is used. Lamination can be on foil, paper, or plastic is used to avoid it from spilling. It is specially designed in a way that it does not shred when it is peeled. Lidding has a strong seal and adhesive that increases the shelf life of any product.
